Seniors Charity Day

This year the Seniors Captain Peter Smith and the Seniors Secretary Peter Woodhall have been very busy organising their sections Charity Golf Day.  They have arranged some fabulous prizes for any potential Hole in One wonder shots. There are prizes on each of the Par 3's; we'll start on the 15th because that is a car, a Peugeot 208; on the 2nd the prize is a 2 night stay for 4 at the Forest of Arden; the 5th is a £500 voucher to be spent in the golf shop; and the 17th a set of Callaway's latest Razor X Irons.

Congratulations go to both Peters who have spent many hours organising and negotiating with the main sponsor Barclays Bank.  All proceeds go to a charity that is near to everyone's heart and that is Beaumond House Hospice.  Beaumond House is the Seniors Charity each year and annually they raise a considerable sum.  This year through their community support project Barclays Bank have agreed to quadruple the money that is raised to a maximum of £3000.

The Seniors Captain, Peter Smith, has opened up what is normally a seniors section competition to all male members of Newark Golf Club over the age of 60.  So, if you fancy your chances and you're over 60, book your self into the Seniors Chaity Day on Thursday 17th October.  Entry sheet is in the Spike bar or you can telephone Peter. The entry fee for the Hole in One competition is £5; and don't forget - for every £5 raised Barclays Bank will turn it into £25 and all proceeds go to Beaumond House.
