The Board of Directors have always recognised the necessity of forward planning. Thanks to their previous foresight important woodland, irrigation and course improvement work has taken place over the last ten years. The Club took a huge step forward by employing staff to run the Golf Shop and Reception and introducing the Swing Studio. Events last year forced a review of the Food and Beverage operation in the clubhouse which has made an equally promising start. We are delighted with our staff and the structure in place.
Our General Manager, Simon Collingwood, will be taking the club forward, managing our policies for the continued development of the course, clubhouse, golf shop and reception, competitions, coaching and administration.
I am delighted to say that at the request of the Board of Directors David Collingwood has agreed to continue as Company Secretary in the short term, on a flexible basis. This is to allow for an easier transition period as a busy season approaches; he will support the club both as a consultant and in dealing with current on-going financial and marketing strategies. His experience will be invaluable and he will take us up to the AGM in November when the position will be reviewed.
