Ladies' Captain v Ladies's Vice Captain Match

Tuesday 24th October 2017 saw the end of season match Ladies' Captain v Vice Captain.

The forecast for the day was rain, but someone must have been looking down on us as we had a dry but windy day.

Josie Vice Captain, provided everyone with a goodie bag prior to the match to help sustain   them during their game.

Josie and I played our match as a two ball, and had an enjoyable game, with the result going one way or the other. On our way round the course. I think we visited most of the bunkers, I am not sure which one of us is ready for a holiday!!

I believe that all of the ladies enjoyed their game. The result was a win to the Ladies' Captain 5.1/2 to 3.1/2

All of the ladies were treated to a drink prior to the meal from both myself and Josie.

We were joined for the meal and the evening by Joy Jones, the area manager for Diabetes U.K. as we were handing over the charity money raised by the ladie's section during the year,

After the meal we had the presentation of the trophies/prizes which had been won throughout this year.

Congratulations to all of our winners.

The charity money raised this year was handed over to Joy, and I am proud to   say that the total amount raised this year for Diabetes U.K. by the ladies section was £4040.00. This was an amazing amount and I thank each and everyone of you for the contribution that you gave.

I hope that you all enjoy the forth coming winters golf.

Ladies Autumn Meeting 26 September 2017

Tuesday 26th September was the Autumn Meeting for the ladies. Although the field had fewer ladies enter, we had a good day.

The weather, for a change decided to be kind to us. It remained pleasant most of the day, with just one small shower around lunch time.

The afternoon 9 hole competition was well supported.

We had a good prize table, thanks go to Josie and Hilary for buying the prizes, which this year had a travel theme.

The winner of the Andre Wilkinson Trophy and of the day was Eva Glasby.

Well done to all the ladies who won a prize on the day. I hope you all had an enjoyable day golfing.

Carole.
