Nine & Dine

32 ladies played the competition on a cold but dry day.  A two tee start made it possible for all the ladies to be round in good time to eat together. It was lovely to see some of our non playing ladies taking the total up to 41, which for a cold winter January day was an excellent turn out.  A big thank you to Matt for preparing a warming stew perfect for the conditions, expertly served by Karen and her staff.  Prizes were given for the best front and back nines and also for the non playing ladies!  Keep an eye on the diary for the next nine and dine in April during course maintenance week.

January Medal (Wine & Mince Pies)

How lucky were we today the first week in January with the sun shining and a dry bright day to start the year with a Medal competition.  A good number of entries for this first ladies competition of the year approx 30 ladies took part.  The golf was followed by some nice warm Mulled wine with warm mince pies and some home made banana bread.  Some of our other ladies joined us too for a warm get together in the club house.  A great atmosphere and some fantastic company, what more could we ask for, it made an excellent start to our golfing calendar.

Here's to many more days like this one, with good wine, good food and good company.

Date for your diaries ladies - 19th January Nine and Dine.  Another social get together with everyone invited to attend, and as the name suggests nine holes of golf - playing from 10.30 and from both tees we should all be able to eat at about 1.00 p.m.  So even if you are not fit for golf, please do come and join in and catch up with your golfing buddies.

A warm welcome awaits from myself and all of the Ladies Committee to do please come and join us.
