Welcoming Paul Bagshaw to our Coaching and Golf Operations Team
In recognising the importance of continuing to provide superb facilities and services for golfers to develop their skills and enhance their enjoyment of the game NGC has engaged the professional expertise of Paul Bagshaw to complement and work alongside Robert Ellis.
Fully qualified as a PGA Professional for nearly 20 years Paul has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of the game and is proud to have developed four junior golfers through to becoming golf professionals themselves.
Paul's thoughts on joining the team
"I am honoured to be part of the coaching team at Newark Golf Club and hope to add to the excellent service already being provided by Robert Ellis through functional and effective coaching to people of all abilities. I believe my strength as a coach is to adapt to the individual based on their own needs and skill set as I coach from complete beginners through to fellow professionals and all those in between. It's an exciting time and I'm really looking forward to meeting the members as well as encouraging many more golfers to visit Newark Golf Club."
An important part of Paul's brief is to develop stronger links into our local community through schools and other social groups, providing the opportunity to experience the game. This will mean engaging with England Golf, Nottinghamshire Sports Partnership and the Golf Foundation, as well as venturing across the Lincolnshire boarder.
Of course members will also have access to both Robert and Paul's expertise so members will be able to choose which style of coaching they feel suits them best.
Paul embraces the use of technology to allow him to analyse ball flight and technique enabling him to provide as much detail as each individual golfer feels they want.
Newark Golf Club's coaching facilities are first class meaning we can provide coaching all year round. The technology incorporated in the Swing Studio of the Sports Coach Simulator, Video analysis Systems and the Flightscope that utilises radar tracking technology (which can also be taken outside on the range) gives instant feedback on the ball flight and swing angles. Having definitive information and data at his finger tips is what Paul believes gives him the best opportunity to guide improvement and for many gives a completely different experience to a golf lesson.
As you can see from the quote below Paul already has some happy clients.
"I first encountered Paul when I was struggling with my game and at a loss as to how to move forward. In the very first lesson Paul identified the problem and immediately started to work on my swing. I continued to have regular lessons and could see a huge improvement. Paul is very easy to learn from and doesn’t over complicate the game……the lessons in the swing studio are great for those who like to see the stats. I feel confident that Paul will help me hit single figures. No pressure Paul!"
As well as developing a excellent reputation as a Coach, Paul is proud of his playing record and below is a list of his achievements.
