Ladies Welcome

As Ladies Captain may I take this opportunity to welcome members and visitors to our website.

The Ladies Section has some 95 members, of which 50 to 60 ladies play every Tuesday throughout the year.  We play a wide variety of competitions including medals, stablefords, single and pairs kinockouts, and two matches against the senior men.  Fun competitions are mainly played in winter months when qualifying restrictions are lifted.

The Club competes in County and National competitions and individuals are encouraged to play in both Ladies and Mixed competitions.  We have friendly games against nine other local clubs, together with five mixed matches during the year.

The Ladies Section makes full use of the Club website, utilising the diary and publishing the weekly competition draw; which can be seen on the previous Friday.  This enables ladies to check their tee times without having to visit the Club or ringing the Golf Shop.

Newark Ladies Section welcomes new members.  Anyone wishing to join our friendly Club, or who would like to receive details of membership, should not hesitate to contact me or call into the office.  Lessons are readily available for beginners and the more advanced alike; we have excellent practice facilities and a top golf professional, Robert.

My Ladies Vice Captain is Jo Jalland and with Ladies President, Jane Tucker, and a good strong willing committee behind us we are all looking forward to another successful year.
