"Dear David, I am writing on behalf of the Ruddington Grange Seniors to thank you and your colleagues for an excellent Captain's away day yesterday.  We all enjoyed the day very much.  It was good to see the course recovering so well from the extended dry spell of recent months - and there compliments about the greens in particular.  The weather was perfect to show off the course at its best.  No doubt you receive endless comments about the cow pie, and yesterday was no excepion, it was terrific.  I should be grateful if you would accept our thanks for a memorable day's golf and pass on our gratitude to your colleagues.  We would certainly like to repeat the experience another year. Robert Oldroyd, Seniors Captain, Ruddington Grange GC, 21st October 2011

"Dear Mr Captain, This year the South Kyme Past Captains Association played their annual match at Newark Golf Club on Friday 22nd July and what a great morning we had.  May I pass on the sincere thanks of all who took partfor such a superb day of golf,  Your greens are quite simply stunning.  All the players agreed that despite the usual good conditions expected at such a club, they exceeded expectations and we congratulate you and your staff on their presentation.  The friendly welcome we received from Simon on arrival and the excellent catering after the match, namely the famous cow pie, all went towards making it a memorable day in a super setting.  Thank you very much and please pass on my sincere thanks to Simon, the green staff and the catering staff.  John Stephenson.  "Dear Sir, On Saturday we held our wedding reception at Newark Golf Club.  We would like to congratulate the club and all the staff for their help in perfectly planning and delivering our special day.  It all went very well indeed, with good timing, delicious food and excellent service, all done with a smile too.  Many of our guests commented on how nice the club was and in particular the friendliness of the staff.  We would like to single out Phil Maxwell who gave us much help and advice over the preceeding months; also Louise Maxwell who controlled the reception service perfectly, their professionalism and amiable nature was exceptional. " Dear David, I had the pleasure of playing in the gents competition at your club yesterday and wanted to write on a couple of matters. The first is that my partners and I found the club and course in excellent condition and our thanks go to all the staff who helped us have such an enjoyable day.  Secondly I wanted the Club to know how helpful Alwyn Lyons and especially the young assistant in the Pro shop (sorry, I didn't get his name) were when I encountered a problem with my sky caddie on arrival. As a visitor is nice to find people very willing to go that extra mile to try to resolve someone's problem. I did thank them at the time but felt that you should know how helpful they were. "I was at Newark GC on Wednesday with my son who was playing in the EGU Boys County QR ; he was fortunate enough to win the leading individual prize.  The course was in great shape despite the dry spring with the greens in particularly good condition.  Rob and I came across for a practice round the week before.  Tom was on duty in the shop and could not have been more helpful.  He showed us your new swing analysis studio and allowed Rob to hit a few shots with his driver.  Tom checked Rob's stats and pointed out that his shaft was producing too much spin.  We worked on improving this on the course that day.  By the day of the event Rob felt much better about his game.  Thanks Tom !!  The greens were the best Rob has putted on all year and his putting saw the benefit with 28 and 27 putts for the consecutive rounds.  Rob is on the England U16 squad but has never produced two 67's in one day.
All of your staff and officials showed all of the visitors to Newark great hospitality.  We had a really good time.  Please pass on our thanks to your committee, members and staff.  Kind Regards.

"I played in the Notts Pro-Am competition at Newark Golf Club on Wednesday May 18th 2011.  I am writing to say how much I enjoyed the day and in particular the venue.  We received a very warm welcome from everybody we met.  The staff from the Golf Shop to the Bar and Catering were extremely helpful.  The facilities were excellent and the course was absolutely top draw.  I am involved in the running of a Golf Society and will definately be staging an event at Newark Golf Club in the future."  

"Good afternoon David, I wanted to write on behalf of the Admiral Rodney Golf Society to thank you, and everyone at Newark Golf Club for a fantastic day last Friday (20^th May).
Every one of the 35 golfers that were part of the Society had a fantastic day which began in exactly the right way with that superb full English breakfast. The staff that looked after us on both the catering side, in the Pro shop and behind the bar were very friendly and welcoming.
The course, as ever, was in superb condition which contributed to some very good scoring on the day (although I cannot legislate for one of our 28 handicappers coming in with 45 points !). Needless to say he has been duly slashed.
Once again, my sincere thanks to everybody at Newark Golf Club.     Best wishes"

"Dear all I would just like to thank you on behalf of Farndon Boat Club for the lovely Christmas Dinner Dance we had at the Golf Club on Saturday 11 December. We joined forces with Newark Marina and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Special thanks go to Chef. We had a last minute stand in for someone who had to cancel at the eleventh hour. This person had special dietary requirements that we did not know about. Chef came out to discuss this at what was a very busy time in his kitchen and pulled the rabbit out of the hat. A true professional. The food and service were excellent and please pass our on our thanks to all your staff for a lovely evening. " Just thought I'd contact you and thank you and all concerned with Newark GC for a cracking day yesterday. We were visitors to the course and from the coffee in the morning to the drink in theclubhouse after 2 rounds golfing it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. the course was in top condition and even the weather was way better than predicted.
