The Daily Mail Foursomes was played on Sunday 14th August and the winners were John K Blagg and John B Blagg with an excellent score of 67. The two Mr. Blaggs, father and son, go forward into the national competition in 2012.
The August Medals took place on Thursday 18th and Saturday 20th. Adam Woolley and Steven Spilsbury were winners of the 1st Division medals. Noel Mitchell and Dan Richards were winners of the 2nd Division medals. David Betts and Jason Robinson were winners of the 3rd Division medals.
The final Gents Invitation competitions of the year took place on Saturday 27th August. Paul Ackroyd & Lea Jakubik were the overall winners of the morning shotgun competition with 46 points and Chris Blackburn & Joe Green took 1st place in the afternoon with 41 points.
The Scratch Team completed their fixtures with a visit to Mapperley on the 1st August and a visit to Coxmoor on the 23rd August finishing in 2nd place in the 1st Division. The Club Captain, Maurice Mayfield, who attended all the matches along with the Vice Captain said " It's been a great season and we've enjoyed some excellent golf. The team has represented the Club extremely well with one of our highest ever finishes in the league table. I congratulate everyone on a fine performance".
The extremely popular Player - Non Player competition was held on Saturday 3rd September. In this 9 hole competition the golfer plays the ball to the green when the non player takes over with the putter. There was a very popular winner when John Williams and his grandson John Cashin took the honours with a fine score of 36.
Into September and the coveted 36 hole Titchfield Cup was won by Charles Bentley with a fine score of 135; Alex Wright came 2nd with another excellent score of 138. Ian Goy was 3rd with 140.
Other Club Competitions included The Autumn Mixed and The Jubilee Cups, both pairs competitions, and won by Alison Hartley and Michael Sheard with 41 points and Clive Rossin and Andy Roe with 47 points respectively.
Finally for this report the annual Past Captain's Cup was this year won by former Club Chairman Walter Hughes.
